SI-FOAM 10
Si-Foam 10 is a silicone based de-foamer made for industrial applications. It is mainly used in scrubbing systems and applications where foam is problematic. For scrubbing applications, usually only 1/2 to 1 gallon is needed to treat 400-500 gallons of water which has foaming tendencies. Re-treatment may be necessary in scrubber systems over time. Note: Dilution of Si-Foam 10 with water (5:1) recommended prior to addition to the material needing treatment. This helps dispersion into the liquid.

For scrubbing applications, pre-dilute product with water prior to adding to scrubber solution. Do not over-use product as more foam could be generated in certain instances.

Customer using our Carbonil XT hidrocarbon scrubbing solution encountered foam issues. We shipped a few pails of the SI-FOAM 10 and within 2 minutes of application, all foam was neutralized. Regular addition of the SI-FOAM was then administered to keep foam from becoming an issue.
A customer using one of Vapor Tech’s SST-20 vapor scrubber systems encountered a foaming issue while using a specialized surfactant. We sent out a five-gallon pail of SI-FOAM 10 and instructed them to dilute with water and then apply to the solution reservoir. Within 30 seconds they reported no foam in the scrubber.
